10 things you don’t owe anyone!

“You alone are enough. You have nothing to prove.” – Maya Angelou

Reflection

We always tend to ask approvals in everything, we feel that we owe anyone an explanation. Sometimes we end up using these phrases such as “What I meant was…”, “It was like this.. “ , “Because…. “ and etc. Are you used to justifying yourselves to others? I’m guessing most of us are guilty of this. During my younger years, I’m an absolute people pleaser! It’s because I have fear of rejection and failure. Most of the time, I apologize for the things I cant control of. Unfortunately, Meanies always tend to bully and take advantage of those who always feel sorry for themselves. I believe that we need to start defining our boundaries and limitations, and being confident enough on where we stand that someone else’s opinion doesn’t matter.
Here’s the things you don’t owe anyone
• Your values and priorities
• Financial status
• Relationships ( Marriage life / Lovelife )
• Goals and next step
• You don’t owe anyone the authority to validate you.
• Personal Beliefs
Saying NO
• Important events
• Compliments
• You don’t owe them gossip!

I’m in charge

Anyway, you don’t owe anyone the power over your life. Actually in most cases, you don’t owe anything at all. Of course, Be the kindest person ever but be firm as always.
The truth is that you cant actually cant control what others think of your choices. Instead of giving them satisfaction, why not save your energy and use it for life choices that are better for you? All we need to do is to learn to trust our choices.

This is timely, as I have been guilted, of late, for not wanting a relationship with any of the “available” women in my community. True it is: I owe them nothing but kindness and respect. No one owes me any more than that, either.
