Life lessons from being born in the 80s and still being a millennial.

I apologize to my mailing list subscribers for the increased frequency of my notifications 🤪. I am aware that Mailchimp have been sending out numerous emails as I catch up with my writing. However, I assure you that I will soon establish a consistent posting schedule, most likely once a week. This intense writing momentum is necessary for me to regain my writing skills. Thank you for your understanding and please enjoy the journey ahead.

So yeah, going back to my post from my random thoughts this evening!

Realizations can have a profound impact and it is essential to handle them with grace.

  1. In my workplace, I have noticed a shift in the demographic towards the younger Generation Z. I have learned a great deal from their perspective, and one aspect that stands out to me is their ability to speak their minds and confidently pursue their goals. They embrace the idea of exploring different options and prioritize their personal happiness.
  2. I have reached a point where social validation no longer bothers me. Instead of becoming offended when triggered, I take a step back and reflect on areas where I can improve personally.
  3. Maintaining good health should always be a top priority. Recently, I finally decided to have my eyes checked after postponing it for far too long. I now proudly wear reading glasses and have adjusted the font size on my phone to accommodate my needs. I believe in gracefully embracing the natural process of aging.
  1. Practicing grace and generosity is paramount to my prayers. I have shifted my focus towards sharing with others and continually praying for increased resources so that I may give more abundantly. I firmly believe in the principle that the more you give, the more you receive.
  2. Recognizing the importance of self-care, I understand that taking supplements is not only essential but also a wise investment. I have come to appreciate the significance of probiotics and peptides, which play a vital role in rejuvenating our body’s cells.
  3. Finding a healthy balance of solitude is crucial. I make it a point to celebrate even the smallest victories by indulging in activities that bring me joy. However, I must admit that I have sometimes found myself getting carried away with small impulsive purchases.
  4. Integrating holistic wellness practices into one’s journey is essential. The stress we experience in the workplace can often become overwhelming.
  5. Prioritize quality rest and rejuvenation. Instead of going out on weekends, I make it a point to use that time to recharge and attend to household chores.
  6. Understanding my worth and recognizing my strengths is key. While I am aware of my weaknesses, I choose to focus on building and highlighting my strengths. It is important to acknowledge weaknesses, but I believe that emphasizing strengths yields greater success.
  7. Long walks have become a trusted companion in my life. Engaging in this activity not only boosts my focus but also releases serotonin in the brain, contributing to an overall sense of well-being.
  8. As I have gotten older, I have noticed a significant improvement in my listening skills. I attribute this growth to my willingness to learn and understand others.
  9. Experience serves as an invaluable teacher, and developing the maturity to accept and learn from feedback amplifies its impact.
  10. My circle of friends has significantly shrunk, and I am grateful for the few true and trustworthy friends I can rely on to create meaningful memories with.
  11. Becoming more guarded about sharing my plans and whereabouts is crucial as not everyone has good intentions or will celebrate my successes.
  12. My patience has become more elastic, allowing me to understand and appreciate different perspectives and individual differences.
  13. While I cannot change people, I have the power to adapt my language and adjust my world accordingly.
  14. Placing my trust in the divine process, I believe that God is preparing me for a greater purpose.
  15. I am now much more confident in my beliefs and convictions, and I am capable of articulating and defending them.
  16. Embracing a minimalist lifestyle, I have come to understand the essence of “less is more” and focus on basics that align with my values and sustain my livelihood.
Can you relate to any of these life lessons? Do we share any commonalities? What principles guide your life?
