Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day falls on different days depending on the countries where it is celebrated. Normally it is held on the second Sunday of May in many countries such as AU, CA and US. Wherein it is held exactly 3 weeks before Easter Sunday in UK. I’m working in a multicultural organization so we celebrate both. I just learned recently that early festivities can be dated back to the spring celebrations to honour “Rhea” The mother of the Gods (this is from ancient civilization, according to some sources). How amazing is it to know my name has symbolic meaning? Though initially all I knew was my name is from a generic medicine lol. Later, mothering Sunday in UK was traditionally a day for people to visit the church where they baptized, although it now also celebrates motherhood in modern times. So yeah, Happy Mother’s Day! I may not be a mother yet but it doesn’t mean I’m empty & feel shallow, I have a wonderful niece and nephews who gives me smile every now and then.

I wrote this post for my parents whose there from my lowest point in life. To my mother who had my back through everything. I’m lucky to be raised from a household with strong foundation of faith and love. Although, my mom is silly sometimes (anyway that’s the spike of it) but she has one of the strongest character I know. Still sharp at her age and is now addicted to Social Media. She is full of spirit and goes crazy over S & R Shopping goods. It’s easy to please her and can be gleeful on simple things as well. I am who I am today because of you “My Dear Mother”. Thank you for not letting me sway easily from drawbacks. We argue sometimes but you’re the best comrade ever! Love you!

Also, Lots of hugs and sweet kisses to my wonderful sister, friends & ninangs on Mother’s Day. I hope you all have an awesome day ahead.

To my growing community, Again Happy Mother’s Day!!
