She is Remarkable

Inspiring Stories from Around the World

I am delighted to finally share my thoughts on “She is Remarkable,” a captivating book that I have long wanted to review. Launched in February 2023, this book has become an instant hit a bestseller at Kinokuniya Dubai. The book features 29 women with diverse backgrounds and upbringings who generously share their struggles and vulnerabilities. Divided into chapters, each one explores life lessons and defies societal norms, inspiring readers in a profound way.

While every story in this book is beautiful and remarkable, there are a few chapters that particularly resonated with me.

  • In “Starting UP,” the book challenges the stereotypes associated with certain fields, proving that women can excel even where they are traditionally disregarded. One story touched upon a woman who started a business and made significant contributions in the fight against COVID-19. Her determination and resilience serve as an inspiration to all.
  • The chapter titled “The War of Success” delves into experiences marked by indirect negativity. As a young girl, the protagonist encountered doubt and attempted sabotage from individuals who wished to see her fail. However, her unwavering belief in behaving kindly and showing kindness, coupled with an indomitable spirit, ensured her success. She encourages readers to honor their dreams, let their accomplishments speak for themselves, and embrace independent thinking.
  • “Breaking Stereotypes” sheds light on the role of a daughter taking over with traditionally male responsibilities in a highly patriarchal Indian society. Despite societal pressures and gender discrimination, she determinedly fulfills her family responsibilities. Her resilience and commitment, alongside the hardships and tears, are truly inspiring. This chapter emphasizes the importance of standing up for one’s beliefs, even if the world doesn’t believe in you, and walking with your head held high, even if you must walk alone.

I must highlight the significance of a particular individual, Jaswin Kaur, the author of the “Breaking Stereotypes” chapter. She is not only insightful but also an incredibly positive and supportive person. I am proud to know her, and her story left a profound impact on me.

Overall, “She is Remarkable” serves as a powerful source of inspiration, as it empowers women to turn their life experiences into lessons that they can share with others. It resonates deeply with me, as I find myself constantly giving myself a pat on the back for overcoming life’s challenges, knowing that they are preparing me for the beautiful gifts that lies ahead. Moreover, the book reminds me of the belief that God always provides us with the things we need, rather than just our wants.

In conclusion, I highly recommend “She is Remarkable” to everyone seeking inspiration and empowerment. By sharing their remarkable stories, these women have created a tool for spreading empowerment and uplifting others.

Oohhhh…I need to read this book urgently. Womens’ stories are rarely told in the world and even when they are told, they are usually mis-told. I look forward to enjoying these writings.
