FACT: Xanor or Xanax is benzodiazepine-class, short-acting medication used to manage moderate to severe panic attacks and mood condition disorders. It is also used as an auxiliary treatment for mood condition caused by moderate depression.
For me it’s just a band aid fix and is staple on my husband’s wallet just in case. It’s a temporary relief from symptoms of anxiety and panic attacks. Normally works after 30-1hr after taking the magic pill and can last for I guess 5-8 hours. I remember the time we ran out of these tabs and I was the one whose more tense! You know it is unlikely to have it over the counter, right? We tried reaching out to other alternatives such as 5-htp and St johns wort, it does work somehow and miraculously calms him a bit. Yes’ A BIT. As much as we want to get him away with benzo but he is now back with his old pal Xanor. I know this medication is highly addictive especially used for a long time. My husband only takes it as needed. This tab acts immediately in times of trouble. A life saver!
Another possible filler for xanor is GABA(Gamma-Aminobutyric Acid) though I’m still hesitant if this one works or not? still needs to find out with his psychiatrist on the next visit.
Oh well this is just random, while me writing this, I’m currently watching the #RoyalWedding. To anyone who had bad remarks on meghan dress’ shame on you guys. I know it is not something that we were expecting but she still carried it with Grace. I love the bridal gown, it is something that I feel can be pass on. The dress is so much of her! Love it!
Alright enough of Royal Families, going back’ Anyone who’s been taking GABA as a supplement? Or taking it simultaneously with your anti-depressant pills?

I used GABA and 5-HTP with my boys. One has Autism and the other anxiety. They worked pretty well when they were little but we ended up using Prozac as they became teens. They come from a long line of anxiety and depression and Prozac works really well for both my husband and myself. I have found that if I’m really anxious, however, nothing works like Ativan and I will just go ahead and use it if need be. With that said, a bottle can last a year so it’s not often that I need it.

As much as I want to continue with 5-HTP but I think my husband’s system is resisting it right now. No help with his anxiety but it knocked him down at night due to it’s valerian content.
